As most people know the super bowl is tommorow, 2/3/08, New York Giants vs. New England Patriots. I believe that the Patriots will win this game easilly as long as they dont get to cocky.
What do the patriots have going for them? First off they are 18-0 and if they win this game they will be the first team to ever go 19-0. Bill Belichek is a very good coach, always looking to improve his team. Some people criticize him for cheating but after going 18-0 i think most of those people have decided his team would of gone 18-0 no matter what. The patriots have arguabely the best offence to ever play the game. Tom Brady threw 50 touchdowns this season an nfl record, 117.2 quarterback rating(which is almost perfect), averaging 300 yards a game the patriots could win a game solely on passing, and his most important stat is that he is the MVP. Randy Moss had an amazing season after coming from the Raiders where he did pratically nothing there for two seasons. He had 23 touchdowns which is another nfl record. Moss is such a good reciever that he has to be double teamed everyplay, and if he isnt double teamed he will just use his speed to out run any secondary to score an easy touchdown. Since Randy Moss gets double teamed so much it gives the other recievers a better chance of getting open, which is why Wes Welker had such a great season. Wes Welker is a slot reciever who had an amazing 112 receptions, and 1,175 yards. One of the most underated players on the Patriots offense if Laurence Moroney. Since they have such a great passing game the running game is pushed aside, but Moroney has proven himself in the postseason averaging 122 yards and 1 touchdown a game.
Now for the Patriots defense. The patriots defense is very underated everyone focuses on there offense because its so good but the patriots defense is ranked 4th in the nfl. The patriot defense is led by vetern linebacker Tedy Bruschi who let the team in tackles at 92. One reason the patriots arent known for there defense is because they dont have just one or two amazing defense players. Most of there defense players are really good so they dont have defense players that stand out among the rest.
The Giants offense isnt that good. There pass game is very inconsistent because Eli is still young but there run makes up for it. Eli Manning had 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions and 3336 yards this season. Although Eli isnt the greatest quarterback they still have wide recievers to make up for it. Plaxico Burress at 6-5 can out jump most cornerbacks, but he did have an ankle injury during the season which limited his play for a couple weeks. Plaxico still had 70 rec and 1025 yards. The giants also have veterns Amani Toomer and Jeremy Shocker to help Eli. Although the giants do lead the league in dropped balls. There run game consists mainly of Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward. Brandon Jacobs is a very large running back at 6-4 and 265 pounds. Its very hard for defensive players to take down Jacobs which is why he had 1009 yards in only 11 games. Derrick Ward is a smaller running back and in 8 games he had 602 yards. With the combination of Jacobs, Ward and the occasional Rueben Droughns the giants were 4 in the league in run offense.
The Giants defense is the main reason they got this far. They have a very good defensive line led by Osi Umenyiora and vetern Micheal Strahan. There linebackers are led by Antonio Pierce who had 103 tackles this year. There secondary is led by vetern Sam Madison who had 67 tackles and 4 interceptions and Gibril Wilson who had 92 tackles and 4 interceptions.
The patriots have the advantage in both offense and defense. They should be able to win the game as long as they keep doing what they have done all season. If the giants are going to win Strahan and Umenyoria will have to pressure Tom Brady, because if you give Brady time in the pocket he will find the open reciever every time. Offensively the giants will have to step it up and Eli must be consistent the whole game. Jacobs should have a good game running. I think the patriots will win but the giants could win if they have a perfect game.

Surprising. Didn't think you would be so interesting in football since you play soccer but it looks like your really on top of things. I think the patriots are gonna win also since they already beat the giants but too bad we have a soccer game tomorrow so good luck watching it.
The Giants coulcd still have a chance, remember their last game with the Patrits went 38-35.
Yunus the super bowl is after our game, we have plenty of time to be ready for it....., but anyways I think that the patriots should win. They deserve it much more than the giants. They have worked hard to get to where they are and did a lot of great things. As for Eli Manning, he is very inconsistent and the only way the Giants will win is if he can perform.
GIANTS WIN!!! Basically the patriots defense sucked, giants defense was amazing, and eli manning had a great game.
Dude Giants are amazing, michael strahan the defense leader, with eli on the offense. Just great football.
