Im not sure what i want to be in the future. I would like to do something that incorporates my favorite activity, soccer. But lets face the facts theres no way im going to be a proffesional soccer player.
I might want to be an accountant or stock person, because i like to deal with money and i like math. Although it does sound very boring to be an accountant. I might also want to be an engineer. To be an engineer you have to enjoy math, which i do, and i like to design or build things and thats what engineers do.
To be an accountant i dont think there are really that many things that i need to know about science, but science and math go hand in hand and you definetly need to know math to be an accountant. To be an engineer you need to have problem solving and reasoning skills which can be learned in science.

You should check out Subbu's blog! You have similar interests and aspirations. I liked how you recognized that specific science content might not play a role but the skills we develop in this class can be useful.
Science skills isn't just limited to the elements. There are other skills that we learn through science that can be useful in alot of things we do. I like how you incorporated that into your post. A think that would be cool to become a famous soccer or whatever player. It would be kind of fun to get all the attention they do, and it would be cool to be as good as them. they do some sweet things like bicycle kicks and stuff. Anyway good post.
accountant sounds intensely boring. Crunching numbers all day would suck. Well, most financial jobs are boring and there is nothing you can do about that. The thing that matters most in finance would be leadership and judgment. If you don't have that, you'll be stuck as an accountant forever. If you have the skills and leadership, you can be the boss.
Get your own small, private office, and boss people around as you deal with clients. That would be much more interesting and rewarding. You will still need your skills though. Strong economics, math, social sciences, and be very comfortable with the computer softwares. (not video games)
good post. personally i hate math. so i think its cool that you like it and think you can do something with the skill you already have.
subbu. how do you know all of that?
I think you'd make a good accountant. You're kind of boring and don't really have a social life so that won't get in the way. I'm not quite sure if you can pull engineer off but i suppose stranger things have happened.
